Making up for lost time: the end of October

It may be true that you never really 'get back' the time you've spent apart, but we certainly like to try to make up for lost time! Two days before Billy arrived home, my mother-in-law flew into town and was a great help in getting everything ready for 'the big day'! The very afternoon Billy arrived home, we hit our favorite mini-golf location...though we didn't realize how windy it was until were on the course! Taking photos turned out to be quite difficult, so these three are the only cute ones without too much hair covering people's faces! :)

The next afternoon, we picked up our 10th anniversary 'gift' to each other...a 2010 Harley Davidson Street Glide!

...and mother nature could not have cooperated more over the next two weeks! Sunny days and springlike temperatures allowed us to explore Ohio's winding farm roads almost every afternoon. Brody even pulled out his 'motorcycle' (electric 4-wheeler) to give Halmoni rides! ;)

Billy and I were even able to ride together down to a beautiful park in Lancaster, Ohio while Halmoni graciously drove the kids down in my car! We played on the playground, hiked to the top of Mt. Pleasant, and had fun 'frolicking' in the fall foliage!

Halmoni was also able to accompany us to "Boo at the Zoo" for the second year in a row...

...and join us as the kids 'trick-or-treated' around the neighborhood.

These last photos are from another trip to a park while Halmoni was in town. These first photos are some of my absolute favorites. Brody noticed the park had this stump to play on and immediately began re-enacting Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree":
