The Disney Cruise!

Our spring break trip was just what we needed this year!  Lots of family time away and NO distractions - no cell phone, no emails, and no computers!  :)  Every day was truly 'magical', and even now, three months after our return, the kids still ask when we're going 'on the Disney boat' again!  I could go on and on about how much fun we had, but instead, I'll let the photos show you!

The GIGANTIC ship!

Waiting in line to enter the terminal...day 1 was probably the roughest day.  At this point, we had no idea it would still be almost 5 hours until we boarded the ship!

Thankfully, the characters made several visits to the terminal while we waited for our turn to board...

We weren't the only ones 'waiting'...

Finally on board!  After a very late lunch, we headed on deck to enjoy Mickey and the gang's "Welcome Aboard" show!

Our first evening's dinner was at the Animator's Palate - a very cool restaurant where Nemo and friends dropped by from time to time!  Alexa enjoyed the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream pop for dessert.

Brody was soooo excited that the kid's area on board at a Toy Story themed room!

Here we are awaiting the start of "The Golden Mickey" - the live theatre performance our first night.

The bunk beds in the room were a big hit!

Breakfast in the Enchanted Garden before hitting the pool!

Alexa got to meet lots of princesses...

And Brody could barely contain his excitement when he met both Buzz AND Woody!

Of course we could never pass up an opportunity to say hello to Captain Mickey!

Or Pluto....

Or anyone else, for that matter!  Brody and I actually rode the elevator with Pluto and Peter Pan one evening!

Our 2nd night on board was the 'dress up night' and we enjoyed dinner at the Enchanted Garden...

The kids loved how the ceiling changed colors as the afternoon turned to evening...

Our 3rd day was to be Pirate Day, so in preparation, we hit the gift shop after dinner! :)

Alexa was so excited to have her hair braided, though she admitted after the fact that it 'kind of made her eyes water' when they pulled her hair so tight!

Captain Brody on lookout!

Breakfast before heading to Castaway Cay on Day 3!

The kids loved playing in the sand...

...and the crystal clear water...

Brody was the first one who wanted to be buried...

then mermaid Alexa decided it wasn't so bad! :)

After a fun day at the beach, we headed back to the room to prepare for our Pirate evening!  Who needs Captain Jack Sparrow??  I've got Captain Hill!  ;)

My two mean men!

And the Pirate Princess making her mean face!

Her "Hook" pose...both kids were quite impressed when earlier that day, Captain Hook stopped by the kid's area to teach them how to be true Pirates!

Of course Brody also enjoyed being the ship Captain!

Ready for bed after a long day of excitement!

Meeting Aladdin (but no Abu)

Chillin' on deck...

Tinkerbell!

Day 4 - spent at sea...

In addition to the pools and the shows and the amazing food and the outings, the ship also had a sports deck, complete with mini-golf!
