Escape to the South...
Sorry it's been a while since an update - though Billy's job does not require him to travel like he did in Columbia, he has had to take some training courses, and they turned out to all be back to back! His last trip was to Ft. Jackson in Columbia for a two week course. The kids and I were ready for an escape from the cold, and it sounded like a great opportunity to not only get to see Billy after a few crazy weeks, but also to catch up with family! So, Billy flew out the last weekend in March and the kids and I flew out a few days later on April 2nd.
We had an awesome time visiting my parents, who drove down to Columbia after visiting my brother and Misty in North Carolina. Alexa had fun spending a few nights in the motor home! We also hung out with her "best friend" Allie, visiting the children's museum as well as the zoo! The children's museum is always a hit, and while Brody enjoyed the zoo, my son is all boy and his favorite part was splashing in the puddles!
the mini grocery store is always a hit!Future farmer!

On Friday, we drove from Columbia to Myrtle Beach to hang out with John, Misty, and John Jr. for a couple nights, then drove back to Columbia Sunday, visited my kids at the preschool where I used to teach on Monday, then flew home. Though it rained while there, the weather was much warmer and everything was in bloom! We had a great time visiting our family and friends, as the photos show!
